Since the May Council Elections, the Royal Borough Tories have ordered the closure of Edenham Care Home, Edenham Day Centre, The Little House disabled children’s respite centre, and are examining the option of selling off Trellick Tower and other estates in North kensington to cover repairs and maintenance works the TMO say they cannot afford. The electorate were told nothing about these plans before May 4th.
The Tories are also failing to maximise affordable housing built on available land and developments, allowing developers to build obscenely expensive luxury flats and only tiny numbers of affordable homes, There are 10,000 on the Council’s Housing Register, waiting to be housed, and severe overcrowding in the existing stock, so the need is clearly for more affordable housing.
