The Primary Care Trust has formally told the Council’s Health Overview & Scrutiny Committee that, contrary to ongoing rumours, St. Charles is not going to close. In fact, the PCT is starting a consultation on the 8th of January on proposals aimed at upgrading facilities and adding others. Facilities, including a possible block of key worker housing for nursing staff and doctors who they are having trouble recruiting and retaining.
